The Clinical Service Excellence Programme (CSEP) is an accreditation programme which supports hospitals in delivering patient-focused myeloma treatment and care. CSEP enables hospitals to recognise and celebrate their achievements in delivering high quality treatment and care to their patients, as well as identifying any key areas for improvement.
CSEP is the clinical manifestation of the Myeloma UK Best Practice Standards which were developed in partnership with healthcare professionals and patients.
Hospitals can apply for CSEP accreditation to demonstrate their myeloma service:
- Delivers patient-focused treatment and care for myeloma patients
- Offers an individualised treatment and care approach that supports patients with the challenges and complexities of living with myeloma
- Develops according to the needs of myeloma patients and their families
CSEP also provides clear evidence to commissioners on the quality of the myeloma clinical service provided by the hospital and any areas of improvement that would benefit patients.
